How does this program differ from others? Age is not the crucial factor when your dog enters The Gun Dog School of Missouri. Confidence and boldness are what really matters when determining your dog's readiness for school. Many customers come three or four times a month before their dog is enrolled. Customers may go home with one or two ideas to better prepare the dog. Your dog, you and Les work together from the very start. You have a chance to witness your dog in the field, watch him/her mature over time, and finally develop the confidence needed to become a successful student. Out of state customers receive video updates of the student during training to track development and progress. |

All dogs must start somewhere, and beginners take their initial step in the backyard training ground. It is important to lay a solid foundation and to identify and correct bad habits. It is crucial to the development of the student to work in new hunting areas. With over 700 acres of hunting ground available, the GDS is able to simulate every hunting situation. As the student nears graduation from training, the owner and family is encouraged to work together with the trainer. This will assure a good handler/dog relationship. |
